Mechanic and general roustabout. Laconic, hard-drinking man of many secrets.
Sex/Ethnic: Male/Confed (Mars)
Look: Expressive face, greying cropped hair, appraising eyes.
Fashion: Utility wear w/tech. Grey fatigue jacket.
|Cool: +1||Hard: +2||Hot: -1||Sharp: +2||Savvy: +1|
|Workspace:Cargo hauler, machining tools, transmitters and receivers.
Field Repair: When you try to keep a piece of tech from falling apart roll + Sharp. On a 10+, the machine can ignore 3 of the harm it has thus far taken. On a 7-9, the machine can ignore 2 of the harm it has taken. On a miss, you may well have made things worse… Note that this does not permanently repair the machine (that requires the workspace above), but does permit it to perhaps survive long enough to get the job done.
|You have a reputation as a ruthless badass who will do whatever it takes. When you give someone an order or a warning, roll + Hard. On a hit, they choose:
* They do it, following your order or heeding your warning.
* They freeze.
* They back away, hands where you can see them
* They attack you.
On a 10+, take +1 forward against them as well. On a miss, they do what they like and you take -1 forward against them.
|You have a veritable library in your skull. You receive +1 to Consult Training.|
|In the Thick of Things|
|At the beginning of the session, roll + Weird. On a 10+, hold 2. On a 7-9, hold 1. At any time, either you or the GM can spend your hold to have you show up in any scene, with the proper tools and knowledge. On a miss, the GM holds 1, and can spend it to have you already be there, but somehow pinned, caught or trapped.|

Born 2432 on Mars, Sol System. Raised aboard mining Seekers. Parents were belters; most were killed in the Colonies Independence war. Father still alive and working the Belt in the Sol System.
Life was a struggle, but good. Small space, close-knit communities bred a man built to travel the stars in metal cans. He volunteered with Earth regulars during the Independence War, prompted by patriotism and a desire for adventure. He made ship’s engineer in the Sixth Fleet, a badge he still keeps. His Paladin pistol is a relic of a Captain who died in vacuum. The ship he was on, the Achilles was destroyed by turncoat fire. He was captured by Confed and held for three years until the end of the war.
Milobacher recruited him fresh off of the streets of Freya as a ship’s mechanic. It left him with time to sort out his thoughts and a steady source of liquor.
Sobek was dead inside, following the destruction of Earth, the death of many of his family and nearly dying at the hands of fellow Earth fleet personnel. A stint as a POW didn’t help. He has opened his mind to various philosophies over the past years and his outlook is becoming less bleak. He loves the Fae, something that is his, and seeks a place to put down roots and find family. To that end, the crew are like brothers and sisters to him.
Sobek hsa little regard for life, his or others. He’s looking for a cause good enough to die for – but secretly he’s a romantic. As well, he’s becoming a collector of “Olde Earth” memorabilia. Music, books, pictures; he’s fascinated by it.
